Dave was fortunate enough to grow up in a home where his parents encouraged creativity and interest in the arts. While his brothers became musicians, Dave mercifully gave up on music lessons and instead persued the visual arts.
A small book, "Learn to Draw with Walter Lantz" (the creator of Woody Woodpecker), sparked Dave's lifelong interest in drawing and cartooning.
After graduating from Chicago's American Academy of Art, Dave worked for a while at Bally Pinball Co. during the PacMan heyday.
Since then, Dave has worked in the Chicago Advertising community for over 25 years, first as a storyboard illustrator and later doing most of his work digitally.
